Oh Yes! We need a lot of imagination in this hard period. Through it, we could imagine to be on holiday, that all this is only some kind of fiction and it is only a big game!  

Unluckily, it is not … 

Just for you, we made the Top 6 of the best fiction tv series: in each of these films, imagination is the most important thing, trust us!

V Wars 

It is a Netflix Tv Series, made by one only 1 season of 10 episodes, which last from 35 minutes to an hour. Short, but beautiful: it’s really a shame that they announced its cancellation. 

Taken from Jonathan Maberry’s comics, V Wars follow a scientist’s story, occupied with his best friend in the limitation of the damages in a society’s split, that could lead, in the future, to a vampires-humans war. In conclusion, a very engaging plot! 

The lord of the rings: the fellowship of the ring 

ORIGINAL THEATRICAL RELEASE: December 19, 2001 

GENRES :Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Action/Adventure 

In the first part of J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic masterpiece, The Lord of the Rings, a shy young hobbit named Frodo Baggins inherits a simple gold ring. He knows the ring has power, but not that he alone holds the secret to the survival–or enslavement–of the entire world. Now Frodo, accompanied by a wizard, an elf, a dwarf, two men and three loyal hobbit friends, must become the greatest hero the world has ever known to save the land and the people he loves. 

The 100 

This series is a post apocalyptic story, after one hundred year from the third world war the left people in the space send to the earth 100 people to discover if the earth is livable, but they found a population that’s live in the earth, we are gonna see fights, completes and peace accords. It is a big series and for this quarantine is perfect to sit in the sofa and spend all the day in front of the television. 

The Umbrella Academy 

After the release of the comic Umbrella Academy by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bà, the director Steve Blackman proposes the eponymous TV series, which was released on Netflix in 2019. The story is set in 1989 where 43 women give birth at the same time, despite not having a pregnancy.  The Millionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves will adopt 7 of these children to train them to become superheroes through the Umbrella Academy. Sir Reginald will not name these children, but will give him the name of a number ranging from 1 to 7. But only six of these little superheroes will be put to fight crime, because number 7 will be sidelined because it is considered powerless. 

Black mirror 

Are you afraid of technological advancement? This series is for you! Black mirror , a science fiction tv series with a little bit of drammatic, is set in the future. 

Each episode has its own plot but in general they tell about the afraid of technology. 

Of this series, relased in 2011, 5 season are available on the Netflix platform, for a total of 22 episodes with wich to keep company. 

There still no official news about the renewal of the 6 season, we hope so! 

Lost 

It’s a fantastic American televisione series. 

On 22^th September 2004 an airline by Oceanic Airlines crashed on a uninhabited island. 

Some people are survived and they get to know each other, they wait to be rescued but this doesn’t come. 

Passengers develop their plane has gone off course and it isn’t the first time.  

While they are looking a way to escape the Island, they meet other people. 

The Island isn’t uninhabited!

6 film con cui decollare dalla monotonia della quarantena

Frequentando un istituto aeronautico, non poteva assolutamente mancare una Top 6 delle pellicole più interessanti riguardanti questo mondo, con le quali poter passare qualche ora serenamente… o quasi. Gli eventi rappresentati? Gli incidenti aerei.
Questi sono sicuramente i nostri film preferiti in assoluto, grazie alle trame avvincenti e alle situazioni in cui… sicuramente non vorremmo trovarci MAI.
Quindi, dato che tutti noi non dobbiamo né andare dal barbiere (comprese il Presidente) né abbiamo altri impegni, vediamoli subito!

TOP GUN

Questo film è davvero in grado di far sognare… ad occhi chiusi e ad occhi aperti.
Ogni volta che penserete alla meravigliosa moto, alla spavalda divisa, al seducente sorriso di un giovanissimo Tom Cruise, all’ebrezza del volo, una scarica di adrenalina vi attraverserà tutto il corpo.
Maverick, giovane e affascinante pilota dell’aviazione statunitense, in addestramento su una portaerei, si trova a confrontare la sua bravura e preparazione con quella dei colleghi, intercettando e combattendo contro aerei nemici con forza e determinazione… e anche trasgredendo alcune regole.
NEWS: a dicembre Maverick tornerà a solcare i cieli del grande schermo con un sequel attesissimo!

SULLY

Tratto dal libro Highest duty: my search for what really matters, Sully è un film del 2016 che racconta la vicenda del volo US Airways 1519, il quale, il 15 Gennaio 2009, durante il decollo dall’aeroporto LaGuardia di New York direzione Seattle Tacoma Int’l, ha subito un cosiddetto Bird strike, ossia l’intrusione di uno stormo di uccelli nelle turbine dei motori,da qui un’avaria… non proprio l’ideale in fase di decollo, visto che la spinta necessaria viene a mancare.
A questo punto, il Capitano Chesley B. Sullenberger, Sully, dopo aver valutato tutte le possibilità ed aver constatato che un atterraggio di emergenza in un aeroporto risulta impossibile, prende la decisione di tentare l’ammaraggio (atterraggio in acqua) nel bel mezzo dei fiume Hudson di New York.

IL VOLO DELLA FENICE

Ci riferiamo al remake di John Moore del 2004 (dato che il primo risale al 1965). La storia è quella di un pilota, Frank Towns, che è anche il comandante di un Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar (un bimotore di trasporto), che assieme al suo copilota A.J. riceve il compito di recuperare un gruppo di ricercatori da un impianto di trivellazione petrolifera. I due si imbattono però in una imprevista tempesta di sabbia sopra il deserto Gobi in Mongolia. Il protagonista non demorde, decide di affrontarla e così facendo precipita con il suo equipaggio. La situazione si fa parecchio tesa tra fame e paura di non essere trovati mai più. Come andrà a finire?
Come dice John Moore: “Ogni uomo nella vita ha bisogno di qualcuno da amare. Se non puoi dargli questo, dagli qualcosa in cui sperare… e se non puoi dargli neanche questo, dagli qualcosa da fare!”

FLIGHT

Un film che coinvolge, oltre che la vita lavorativa, anche la vita privata di chi fa questo mestiere. Il protagonista, William o”Whip”, è un pilota di linea che fa uso di droghe e alcol. Una mattina come tante altre: un volo da Orlando ad Atlanta, dopo il decollo un bicchiere di vodka e succo d’arancia per tirarsi un po’ su, subito dopo un gran rumore. L’aereo che sta pilotando ha subito un guasto grave. Whip è obbligato ad effettuare un atterraggio di emergenza, mentre si sta avvicinando all’aeroporto, perde il controllo dei comandi ed è costretto a manovrare l’aereo sotto sopra. Dopo aver perso entrambi i motori è costretto ad atterrare su un campo. Il comandante riapre gli occhi in ospedale dove incontra la NTSB che indaga sull’incidente e che lo porterà in tribunale. Questo film si ispira ad una storia realmente accaduta, si tratta del volo Alaska Airlanes del 31 gennaio del 2000 in cui non si salvò nessun membro dell’equipaggio.

2:22

Il destino è già scritto, 2:22 è un film del 2017 diretto da Paul Currie e interpretato da Michael Huisman, Teresa Palmer e Sam Reid (state attente, perché il protagonista è molto carino). Dylan Boyd è un controllore di traffico aereo, un incarico di grande responsabilità che svolge però con scioltezza: la sua capacità di costruire schemi dove altri vedrebbero solo caos, ne fa sempre l’uomo giusto al posto giusto. Un giorno però questa abilità si ritorce contro di lui e fissa ossessivamente nella sua mente su una serie di eventi, che sembrano ripetersi dal mattino fino alle ore 2:22. Distratto da questi pensieri finisce quasi per far schiantare tra loro due aerei e viene sospeso dal lavoro. Una sera a teatro conosce Sarah, appena arrivata a New York proprio con uno dei voli che hanno di pochissimo evitato la collisione. Tra i due c’è un immediato feeling, quasi innaturale, ma anche la relazione con lei sembra cadere nello schema di eventi che si ripetono quotidianamente e che pare sfoceranno in una sparatoria alla stazione dei treni. Dylan dovrà trovare la soluzione prima che sia troppo tardi.

THE TERMINAL

Questo è davvero perfetto per gli appassionati di film di aeronautica! Viktor Navorski, dopo esser partito da uno stato formatosi dalla frammentazione dell’URSS, atterra all’aeroporto di New York e una volta nell’ufficio visti scopre che nel suo Paese è stato messo in atto un colpo di stato. Il protagonista sarà costretto a a rimanere all’interno del terminal per mesi e mesi. Che cosa vi ricorda? è un po’ la nostra situazione…

Spending the quarantine behind a different flag.

The COVID 19 or Coronavirus spread as plague almost everywhere in the world leaving many people out of business or distant from their families.  

As a student in Italy from Slovenia I had the “privilege” to see both sides of the coronavirus crisis.

Same story. Two sides.

As far as we know Italy is the second country with most confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the world.

A threat for the European Union (and not only?)! 

… in just few weeks (days..nights?) the countries neighboring Italy closed their borders: an the attempt to stop the spreading of the virus.

ITALY vs SLOVENIA: what’s the difference? 

Social life here in Slovenia  didn’t change much until March 21^st, when it was decided to close all the restaurants and the parks in the country.  

But unlike Italy, people in Slovenia still have the opportunity to hang out with their friends so they aren’t locked at home.

In Italy the quarantine is so severe that if you want to go outside you have to carry a special permit.

My father is currently staying in Italy and he can leave the house only to go to work.

He works as a Carabinieri and his job has changed a lot after the quarantine. Before he had to do many different things like stopping cars or arresting people, but now the only thing he does is to check if people have their permit.

Because he lives in Italy I don’t have the chance to see him as much as I am used to. The only social interaction I have with him is via Skype or Whatsapp.  

Like many other people out there, I suppose? 

WHAT ABOUT THE SCHOOLS? 

In both countries the schools were closed, but…

Italy: adopted a good way to have lessons online, so the students don’t miss school.

Slovenia: any type of distance learning is adopted, but the students may have to spend some of the summer vacations at school studying. 

Realization 

The second day of the quarantine in Slovenia was taken from a movie. All the stores and restaurants were closed and there was nearly nobody on the streets.

I decided to take this rare opportunity to take some picture.

In this post I’m sharing mostly pictures of my daily life behind self isolation from the world, risking everything to let people see how is the world in and near the countries that have been stroke most hard by the new COVID-19.
