Number ten:  (wish I could fly like) superman – kinks.
The song is played by a British band from London composed by: Ray Davis, Dave Davis, Micky Avory, Pete Quaife. (The song was realized in the album Low Budget in 1979).

The song was written by Ray Davis who was inspired by the movie superman; it talks about a man who dreams to become superman to escape the everyday stress and bad news. 

Number nineSympathy for the devil – Rolling Stones.
The song was created by a British band, the Rolling stones, composed by: Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts. It was realized in the album Beggars Banquet in 1968.

The inspiration came from Charles Baudelaire and is sang from the prospective of the devil. The writer of the song was Mick Jagger.

Number eightSnow – Red hot chili peppers.
This master piece of modern rock is played by the Los Angeles band Red hot chili peppers composed by; Antony Kiedis, Flea (considerated the best bass player in the world), John Frusciante and Chad Smith. 

On the 9th of January 2007 the song was selected during the presentation of the first I-phone. 

Number sevenThe sky is a neighborhood – Foo Fighters.
After Kurt Cobain’s death in 1994 the legendary Nirvana’s drummer Dave Grohl decided to form a band with some friends from Seattle. The members are: Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, William Goldsmith and Pat Smear (ex Nirvana’s guitarist).

The song vas realized on the 16th of May 2017 and shows the interest of Grohl about astronomy.

Number sixYou give love a bad name – Bon Jovi.
It’s a New Jersey group formed by the singer John Francis Bongiovi Jr in 1983. The song talks about a woman who broke up with her lover. It was realized in 1986.

Number five: Sultans of swing –  Dire Straits.
A song composed by the British band Dire Straits formed in 1977 by Mark Knopfler the lead singer and guitarist, David Knopfler the second guitar, Johny Lllsley the bass player and Pick Whiters the drum player. This song is one of the most known rock songs of the past decades and the band realized it in 1978. It talks about a British jazz band from London composed by minimum wage workers, that play their music not giving attention to the difficulties of everyday life. 

Number fourTake it easy – The Eagles.
It is the firs song of the American group The Eagles. Their most know song is Hotel California known all over the globe. The band was formed in Los Angeles in 1971, The four members are: Glenn Ferry, Don Hanley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner. Their album “The greatest hits” sold 50 million copies making them one of the most influencial band in rock history.

Number threeDon’t look back in anger – Oasis.
From one of the most know Manchester bands, formed by the two Gallaher brothers in 1991. The song reached the platinum and is the second most known of the group. In the song the protagonist is a girl named Sally, wich is supposed to be the sister of Lyla (another band’s song). The rest of the song is inspired after John Lenon and the song Immagine. If you listen closely you can hear a similarity in the songs intros.

Number two: Emmaretta- Deep Purple.
It’s another British band formed in Hertford in 1968. They are considered one of the most influencial band of the 70s with one of the most known songs in the world that you heard at leas once in your life “Smoke on the water” which was written while the singer was taking a shower. The song Emmaretta is one of their songs in the album Made in Japan. The song talks about a girl that has disappeared and is not responding to the singer who is far away from her. 

Number oneHere comes the sun – The Beatles.
The Beatles were a Liverpool band formed in 1960 from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Star. The song was realized in the album Abbey Road, from the abbey Road studios in London and it was first published in 1969. It’s the most known album of the band and it was a life changing album for Britain too. The song was recorded without Lennon one of the main members, because he was in the hospital due to a car accident.
